C.T.A – Tax Director
Diane qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 2001 and has been with Stiles & Company since 2003, heading up the Tax Department and becoming a Director/Shareholder in 2015. Diane has an extensive range of knowledge in the taxation field, with over 25 year's experience working in tax, and can advise in many areas of taxation including personal tax, capital gains tax, property tax, corporation tax and inheritance tax.
Diane manages our tax department and advises on tax planning for both individuals and businesses and also oversees all tax compliance issues such as completion of Self Assessment Tax Returns and dealing with HMRC on a daily basis. She also has experience in HMRC investigations and Enquiries, successfully taking a case to the First Tier Tax Tribunal in recent years with the result that an HMRC assessment of almost £50,000 was quashed. Diane also provides tax advice to Solicitors on matrimonial matters and has acted as an Expert Witness in these matters.
Diane is a keen netballer, playing for three different teams, and is also a qualified umpire. She is an avid football fanatic, supporting her team Liverpool FC, and enjoys spending time with her two young sons.
